Makeup Masterclass With Sarah Abbott

So my lovelies...

 As some of you may know a few weeks ago i was lucky enough to join the gorgeous girls from bridal boutique, Brides Of Winchester on a makeup masterclass. 

What better way to spend a rainy Sunday afternoon than to sit around drinking tea and making yourselves look beautiful. I don't know about you but i always find it soo fascinating watching other people do their makeup because we all apply it in different ways. 

Sarah was able to show us how to professionally, and properly apply our everyday makeup making the class a very personal lesson as we didn't then have to go out of our way to purchase a whole new makeup bag. Each wanting to focus on a different area to beautify we managed to cover the WHOLE face in one lesson. From eyebrows to primers, those killer flicks or on trend contour we each received individual advice on what works best for our skin types and hair colour. and its safe to say we all left with both a shopping list the length of an arm and itching to put our new skills to the test. 

Top tips i learnt!

~ Always clean your brushes! 

Now I'm the worst at ensuring my brushes are always squeaky clean and lets be honest no one has the time to scrub your sassy tools daily but i was introduced to a fab brush cleaner. Pouring a little bit onto kitchen paper and then rubbing your brush into the product in circular motions is easy enough right? ... not only are your brushes back to their original state but they are also bone dry instantly!  

~ Its all in the base! 

My face has ALOT of dark patches so using a red based primer can really help to counter act this. i think people take primers for granted, class them as a 'pointless step' however if you get a quality primer your base makeup will look flawless! try it and i promise you'll notice a positive difference.

~ Line the lip!

Don't ever underestimate the power of a lip liner, from creating that sassy ombre to tidying the edges up. A lip liner acts as the foundation for the colour, by adding a liner you can change the size and shape of your lip and create a border that'll stop your lipstick bleeding into the skin. If you don't have a coloured liner that you need, clear liners can also be found which as you can imagine are soo handy!

Hello my lovelies!!!! 

Im back better than ever! Once again i apologies for being away from blogging for the last couple of weeks but as some of you might know if you follow me on instagram, i took time out to explore deeper into my career choices. Ill let you all know a bit about it soon.

 ANYWAY!.....

I have recently discovered an app called Youcammakeup now girls if your worried about trying a new makeup look, hair colour, or even want to try a contact colour then this app will well and truly blow your sassy socks off!!! Honest to god i have spent many hours just playing around with this app catfishing the life out of my face (and dans) for fun and it really is just that!! 

Not only can this app help you decide if fake eyelashes are for you but you can take a photo from your camera roll and edit that too allowing you to test out the latest lipstick colour on your best mate to check it will suit her before buying it! By no means am i telling you all to go out and download the app to change the way you look and pretend to be someone your not but its just a load of fun! 

so why not give it a go besides the fact that the app is completely free after showing the lovely ladies at work we are all obsessed!

Lumi Magique

L'oreal Paris have a 3 for 2 offer at the moment available at boots (I'm not too sure about other drugstores) so as you can imagine i was in my element. Theres something about popping into a shop to pick up your usual concealer that never seems to pan out. I always end up leaving with a bag full of new cosmetics to try out! I have been looking around for a both bright and shimmery highlight and by using both the Pure light primer and concealer from the Lumi Magique range you can create an amazing strobe!! Taking a quick look at my instagram won't take you long to see these products at their finest highlighting all the important places on my face! Not forgetting to grab my fave foundation at the moment Loreal Paris True Match in the shade D3 W3 Golden Beige.This foundation is the only one I've every really loved. Its super dewy which gives the skin an extra glow, even more so when teamed with the Lumi Magique range!

Magnitone Lucid

Okay so I've recently had crazy bad skin and it has taken ages to clear ! Its that type that no amount of product or makeup can cover up! 

Apart from suffering from dry skin my face usually behaves (spot wise) however every now and again it gets soooo bad.

Benefit Cosmetics! Porefessional and Roller

 So my lovelies! Ive recently received these super cute sample sized makeup products by benefit cosmetics! I have been testing these bad boys out over the past few days and wanted to share with you all what i thought! 

Roller Lash Mascara

Im lucky enough to be blessed with naturally long lashes! However i still enjoy enhancing them with mascaras that work their magic. I genuinely love this mascara, yes it is a little bit pricey much like the 'They're Real' mascara but it is just as brilliant! for me this is my go to false lash effect creator! and i love it! No clumps, no fuss and with the hook n' roll brush the little bristles grab each and every short hair and roll the long ones up for a gorgeous long lash look! 

The Professional Primer

If I'm completely honest i change my primers all the time depending on whats on offer or the quality of my skin at the time! Now i have heard a lot of negatives about this particular primer from my friends! Both Carley and Gisela found the product very cakey and caused them to break out big time! However I've been using it for the past three days and really like it! I find it covers my lumps and bumps from spots and pores allowing for a more flawless foundation application not to mention the all day wear ability!!! With that in mind i think this is a product for every now and again! If you've got a wild night or big day out then its perfect to make sure your base stays put. Keeping you looking sassy.

MyChelle Dermaceuticals

Welcome to the weekend my lovelies! 

Today i have something pretty special to share with you all! I was recently lucky enough to be given this little product from MyChelle Dermaceuticals, a skincare range huge in America and bursting onto the scene in England, and after only a couple of uses i have to say I'm already in love?

This deep repair cream has an unscented formula with nourishing shea butter and cutting edge skin nutrients restoring the moisture in your skin and keeping you looking youthful and in particular this one is for dry skin so perfect for me!. 

If I'm totally honest i think id prefer it if the product was scented? Only because even though the product claims there is no scent there is a slight aroma... maybe they should call it unperfumed? At the end of the day theres absolutely nothing wrong with this product when it leaves my skin feeling as amazing as it does!

Personally i find that when i try out creams and lotions for dry skin they leave me feeling overly oily or sticky which is not fun when your in a rush! But this super handy bag sized pot is filled with cream that dries fast but still giving you that hydrating and nourished feeling! Perfect and for £24.50 it might a little more pricier than your standard highstreet, drugstore creams but the quality speaks for itself? 

HINT : This product is also an amazing primer for your base makeup!
